Re: Russell Brand, Legend or Loon?
there’s a reason he doesn’t get any mainstream gigs now and it’s not due to the politics.. many a female in the industry had a bad experience with him. It’ll come out one day, so no one will touch him.

I like him. Very smart and sound politics.

Done some shit films though. Get Him To The Greek was good fun though.

I like his delivery style; doesn't detract or distract from the content of the message.

Makes me think, whatever he's saying: did when he was younger and his subject matter was more childish/ridiculous and still does now that his subject matter is more political/ridiculous but we all have to accept that we've getting old(er), don't we?

Never convinced by his "accent, though; sounds too well voice-coached.

Loon. Used to be pretty funny but then went too deep into trying to do politics etc.

Legendary Loon, I quite like him, dont always agree with him or relate to him but he sets out his stall in such a way that I can listen and digest.

I don't really think about him, but on the odd occasion I do, I like him.

Ah, the woman in blue. The "shaft grasper," as he dubbed her.

Ha ha!

His old man used to manage my band and is an absolute prick.

And the apple didn't fall far from the tree either, in my experience of RB's company.

Re: Russell Brand, Legend or Loon?
Highly inelegant, Syd? Not sure, He has a style of his own, I think. ;) Seriously, he is intelligent but it's the way he articulates that I love. That MSNBC clip is superb not only in the way he completely wrecks their agenda but also in the way he disarms them and, astonishingly, charms them too. That look Brand gives the woman in blue when she introduces him - effectively 'Hey he's a big deal now but I'VE never heard of him' - and you can see him assessing the situation, dismissing them completely and then deciding to go in as he does. By the end, the same woman is playing with her hair in a way I've not seen outside of a porn film. Top bloke IMHO.

Mugged four condescending septic TV presenters off on Morning Joe, without totally losing his rag. Saw another one with Bill Maher where he did a similar thing to the fat moron they had on.

I’m not a fan of his arm waving rapido talk style but he’s on the right track with Ukraine, Covid bollocks and ‘Russian collusion’ hoax

Re: Russell Brand, Legend or Loon?
I think its always worth checking to see the way in which different people view a story. If all the media treats it the same way, be wary. If its split between two camps, be wary. If its neither of these then you need to do some harder thinking and analyse what is being said, how much you trust it and to what extent it genuinely impacts upon you or is merely another "scare" story.

Miike

While I can accept the concept of controlled opposition, how can you be so sure that RB is an agent of the elite establishment? It’s hard to imagine how he is helping them by awakening so many normal folk to the dodgy methods of their propaganda.

"because the things he has been banging on about of late"

yes, things multiple smaller channels and people were exposing years ago and were cancelled/deplatformed. the cunt's got almost seven million subscribers ffs (that should be a red flag to anyone with common sense), he's the establishment's acceptable rebel. he's like a hirsute joe rogan

Lee Trundle 1:12 Thu Mar 16
Re: Russell Brand, Legend or Loon?
All he said was that he found common ground with him, and agreed with him on some points.

You've got to be WAY over on the hard left to think he's in any way right wing.
